Civil War Period Chess Box - Large checker, chess board & storage box. The size is 16" by 8" by 2 1/4" thick closed, when you open, the size is 16" by 16". Civil War Period Dominos w/box - Complete set of 54, they are 2" long by 1" wide. Bone with black wood ebony base, brass rivets connect them together. Wood box is 10" long by 4" wide by 2". Civil War Period Sewing Kit - Rollup sewing kit or called the soldiers housewife. The size is 8" long by 5" wide by 1/1/2" in diameter, made of silk & leather. Base Drum Sticks - SCARCE pair of 19th century base drum sticks showing no signs of wear or use. Made of maple ?, overall 17" long, 1" handle diameter with large 2" ball heads. Civil War Period Sharp Shooters Glasses - Glasses with yellow amber lense, good condition overall. These are always noted to be used by Berdan Sharp-Shooters. Torrey's Razor Strop - Razor strop case that includes a drawer for the razor, marked on the case, Designed for Barbers and Surgeons Use. Civil War Period Wood Candy Box - Peanut Bar box from C.F. Smith Newport, Pa, the store was center square. I use to own this building at one time. These boxes are very scarce. Civil War Dated Tobacco Tin - Stamped on front Pat JAN "star" 24 1860, hard to get a picture of it. Tin is 3" by 2" by 3/4" thick, very good condition showing honest age. - Price is $ SOLD plus shipping and insurance. Item - PI-88-2936


19th Century Mourning Hair Pins\Brooch - The large 1 1/2" hair pin is missing the hook on the reverse. Two pins are gold plated, I see no hallmarks. The small oval woven hair ring is 5/8" in diameter, my opinion is a ring made for a child. Small long brass pin has a patent date on the reverse, April 19th 10. SCARCE Indian War Poker Playing Cards - Full deck of 52 cards, maker Andrew Dougherty, 78 Centre Street. These were made, produced with the Ace of Spades being black or blue, blue the most scarce. These cards are circa 1875. Old note with cards reading they were purchased at auction goes with this set.
