Silliman Desk Ink Well - Excellent example here of civil war period wood ink well made by S. Silliman & Co. of Chester, CT. SCARCE - Civil War Playing Cards - SCARCE as hens teeth, full deck of 52 with card stock case, all cards remain excellent in condition showing little wear & use. Box shows storage & corner wear, missing only the small side top cover flap, bottom has been taped. Card suits are Eagles, Shields, Stars, and Flags, the Eagle logo card would be the Ace of Spade. Manufactured by the American Card Company and so marked & dated 1862 on the box and ACE card. Box inner slide shows signs & remains of a tax stamp that started 1862. Full Decks of Civil War Playing cards are near extinct. Civil War Period Sharp Shooters Glasses - Glasses with yellow amber lense, frames have light rust, overall good condition for there age. These are always noted to be used by Berdan Sharp-Shooters. It is my opinion that these glasses are sun glasses of the period and could be used by military & civilians alike, no way telling who used them.
