19th Century Patriotic Slate Pencils - Lot of 6 slate pencils, these date anywhere from the civil war up to 1910. Smoking Pipe - 19th century pipe remains in excellent condition, does show use & wear, stem is 7" long, bowl is 3 3/4", marked, stiasnyefia\kormoczbanya, along with a hallmark at the base, I suspect this is from Hungary/Germany. The bowl material looks to be mould & of Gutta-Percha or India Rubber, I say circa 1870's & 1880's, it could be older, nice period pipe here, I have not had much luck putting an exact date of manufacture. - Price is $ 250.00 plus shipping and insurance. Civil War Period Chess Set w/box - Complete set here showing light use, made of wood, high quality & craftmanship. Kings are 3" tall with 1" diameter base, pawns are 1 3/8" tall. I looked over them and see no damage, chips or cracks, the box lid slide is missing the hand lip, see photo, overall excellent condition. LARGE MASTER Flask - Civil War Period large master flask, the size is big, 8" tall by 4 1/2" wide by 2 1/2" thick. Maker marked on the bottom James Dixon & Sons Sheffield. Flask shows age & use with some light dents, very small old solder repair, cap good with cork inside. SCARCE Indian War Period Cup - Cup handle stamped "NGP" National Guard Pennsylvania, marked & stamped on the brim "S Hoover", might be maker or owners name, the size is 4 1/4" tall by 4" in diameter, very good condition, shows wear & use with light rust & no holes, hard pressed to find another. - Price is $ 185.00 plus shipping and insurance. Collapsible Cup - Stamped Germany on the bottom and has a hallmark under the handle that is similar of the Pa Railroad. I date this around circa 1880. Silliman Desk Ink Well - Civil War period wood ink well made by S. Silliman & Co. of Chester, CT. Civil War Period Brass Hotel Bell - Large Hotel Bell, steel gold clam corner painted base is 3 3/4" square, 6 1/2" tall overall, bell has a good ring & works just fine, shows wear & use with lots period hand wear rubbing, no question used in a high class hotel of its day, this is the largest I have ever seen or chance to aquire, overall a nice period item & remains in very good condition. - Price is $ 250.00 plus shipping and insurance. Civil War Bible - Dated 1863 Civil War Bible, embossed with the name W. Fred Tall. Found several soldiers listed from Illinois, that is where the bible came from, Cary Ill. SCARCE Knife\Spoon\Fork Set - Richards Patent July 23 1861 Cast Steel and so marked on both the Spoon & Fork and Knife. The knife is also marked, F.F.Hassam Cutler Boston. Frederick Hassam made surgical instruments & Bowie Knives used in the Civil War, this firm is not listed after 1866. Brogan Wood Shoe Pegs - Brogan Shoe Pegs, the tag reads, Civil War Brogan Wood Shoe Pegs 1861-1865, they come in plastic container's which hold 100 plus pegs, neatly packed for display, recovered from a New York Shoe Factory. - Price is $ 15.00 EACH plus shipping and insurance. Item - PI-37

American Manufacture Playing Cards - SCARCE FULL Deck of playing cards, look to have never been used, the ACE of clubs is stamped Second Quality. It is known that Samual Hart manufactured these cards and sold them as 2nd quality, cards are circa 1870 to 1880. Pocket Whiskey Flask - civil War Pewter pocket whiskey flask, the size is 5" tall by 2 1/2" wide by 1" thick. Shows honest age & use, remains excellent with cap. Hallmarks on the bottom, James Dixon & Son Sheffield, Made in England. To my research this dates between 1823 and 1835, the name changed from James Dixon & Son to James Dixon & Sons when the 2nd son join the buisness in 1836. - Price is $ 150.00 plus shipping and insurance. SCARCE - Civil War Playing Cards - Full deck of 52 with 1/2 of the original box, all cards remain near excellent condition showing light use & wear. Box shows storage wear, missing top half & end cover flap. Card suits are Eagles, Shields, Stars, and Flags, the Eagle logo card is the Ace of Spade. Manufactured by the American Card Company and so marked & dated 1862 on the box and ACE card. Box inner slide has tax stamp dated 1863.
