Hard-Tack - SCARCE & Museum Grade Full Size Hard Tack, from the Spanish American War, Dated May 7, 1898. The Full Size Cracker is 4 1\2" in diameter by 1/2" thick, excellent condition over-all with very little insect damage. The cracker was sent home to Pine Grove, Pa. from George Heiser of Co. G. The names of mess mates are inscribed on it as follows, Willie Heiser, William Yoder, Willie Yoder, John Yoder. GEORGE W.HEISER, Private, Co. G; Residence: Pine Grove, Pa. (National Guard of Pennsylvania); Enrolled April 28, 1898; Mustered in May 10, 1898; Mustered out with company Nov. 16, 1898.

The size is 3" by 3" by 1 1/8" thick, overall very good condition, complete with both front brass latch hooks, brass piano hinge excellent, the only thing a see wrong is the needle stop pin has been broken which stops the movement when closed for travel.
