Civil War Period Brass Telescope - The optics are in good condition, just a tad dirty from age, I see no markings. Civil War Period Coffee Grinder - Overall very good condition showing use & age, casting has been painted black at some point, could be removed if you so desire. Civil War Period Food Box - Maker Marked on the front with C.J.F & Bros 1863 & 64, box is 26" wide by 13" deep by 11" high. Hard-Tack - SCARCE & Museum Grade Full Size Hard Tack, from the Spanish American War, Dated May 7, 1898. The Full Size Cracker is 4 1\2" in diameter by 1/2" thick, excellent condition over-all with very little insect damage. The cracker was sent home to Pine Grove, Pa. from George Heiser of Co. G. The names of mess mates are inscribed on it as follows, Willie Heiser, William Yoder, Willie Yoder, John Yoder. GEORGE W.HEISER, Private, Co. G; Residence: Pine Grove, Pa. (National Guard of Pennsylvania); Enrolled April 28, 1898; Mustered in May 10, 1898; Mustered out with company Nov. 16, 1898. On April 28th, 1898, pursuant to General Orders No 7, Adjutant General's Office, the Fourth Regiment Infantry, National Guard of Pennsylvania, reported at Mount Gretna, Lebanon county, Pa., for the purpose of volunteering in the service of the United States in the War with Spain, the 4TH Regiment thus having the HONER of being the FIRST to enter the United States volunteer service from Pennsylvania. Tooth Puller - Very early and dated on the bone handle, 1841, has old tag from Denist Office Inventory, one side reads, Old Turn Key, Used in Panama. 19th Century Brass Bucket - Spun brass bucket with iron forged bale handle, 8 1/4" tall, top is 12 1/2" in diameter, bottom is 9" in diameter, small 1 1/2" stress crack on the side, maker marked, MANUFACTURED BY ANSONIA BRASS CO, with 2 different patent dates 1865 & 1866, overall brass retains a nice aged patina & shows honest use. - Price is $ 95.00 plus shipping and insurance. LARGE - Battle Rattle Alarm - I have never seen another like this one, this is by far the largest I have ever seen, anywhere, my opinion this is Civil War Period, there is no question 19th century, made of oak wood, this is big, 16" by 12", handle is 6 3/4 long, overall excellent condition with no issues to the wood, shows only honest age & very little use, scarce example here. - Price is $ 225.00 plus shipping and insurance. Pocket Compass - Compass in wood case, 19th century, marked, Made in France in center, I suspect since this is marked it dates a tad post civil war. The size is 3" by 3" by 1 1/8" thick, overall very good condition, complete with both front brass latch hooks, brass piano hinge excellent, the only thing a see wrong is the needle stop pin has been broken which stops the movement when closed for travel.
