Artillery Short Sword - SCARCE example here, the 18" blade shows age & use. Maker marked with S & K, dated 184?, hard to decipher date. Guard is broken, possible war time. I have never seen this example before. S & K is the maker Schnitzler and Kirschbaum of Solingen, Germany which manufactured many edged weapons used in the Civil War. - Price is $ 550.00 plus shipping and insurance. Item - SW-1-1645


Model 1840 Cavalry Sword - The 36 1/2" long sword blade is in excellent condition with a couple super fine nicks that can be felt with your finger, no maker mark. Leather grip about 40% with wire broken, both show use & wear, brass guard good with leather washer missing. M-1906 Cavalry Sword - More scarce than the civil war cavalry swords, fresh from a local attic and never messed with. The 35" blade excellent with a couple fine nicks that can be felt with your finger. Maker stamped US JHC and dated AS Co 1906. All iron guard with original leather & wire, blade leather washer intact. Scabbard remains near excellent, couple drops of white paint, easy to remove, drag stamped with numbers, cant decipher. Model 1860 Cavalry Sword - Good example here, as they say fresh from the attic and untouched - The 35" blade is maker marked & dated with C. Roby W. Chelmsford Mass & US 1865 A.G.M, blade shows light rust with no nicks. Brass guard with a dark patina, leather shows honest wear & use, only 3 strains of wire remain, leather washer still intact. Scabbard with a coating of rust, no denting, shows use overall. Nice sword here, would clean up if you got the time, I think better as you see it. - Price is $ 750.00 plus shipping and insurance. Model 1860 Cavalry Sword - Maker marked Ames with US B.H. 1861 date, Ames maker mark very weak, its there. The inspection stamping of BH, Benjamin Hannis, inspected in 1861 only. The 35" blade shows age with very fine nicks or more like a roughness, nothing bad. Leather grip and wire remain very good, leather washer intact. Scabbard shows age with areas of light rust. Model 1850 Staff & Field Officers Sword - The 31" blade with a couple very fine nicks, nothing extreme, leather washer intact. Blade with typical scroll design to include US & Eagle, spine with Iron Proof. Original sharkskin grip & wire remain very good overall showing honest age & use, US in brass guard. Scabbard remains very good overall, dent free with light rust. Model 1840 Muscians Sword - Overall sword & scabbard remain excellent to near mint in condition. The 28" blade maker marked C. Roby W.Chelmsford Mass and dated with US/1863/FSS. Hand guard, scabbard drag also inspected with the same FSS. Leather scabbard has remains of leather verdigris at brass throat, would clean off, and missing one small brass screw, otherwise excellent. Hard to find them this nice. The leather shoulder strap was sold seperate after the sword, a crazy 1400.00 plus a 10% buyer premium. - Price is $ 750.00 plus shipping and insurance. Model 1840 NCO Sword - Sword blade is 32" long, excellent & nick free, maker mark, Made by Ames MFG Co Chicopee Mass, dated with US ?SL 1864. Brass guard excellent showing honest age patina, inspected with JH. Leather scabbard remains near excellent with no seam issues, just shows honest age, drag inspected with G.W.C. - Price is $ 750.00 plus shipping and insurance. Item - SW-8-1699


Model 1860 Cavalry Sword - The sword blade is 35" long, maker marked with Emerson & Silver Trenton, N.J. & dated, US/DFM/1864, blade is excellent with no nicking, complete with leather washer. Original grip leather & wire remain excellent overall, pommel inspected with DFM. Scabbard remains excellent condition showing only couple minor dents near drag. Sword blade & scabbard have been coated with what looks to be shellac ? easy remove if you so desire, looks just fine as-is. - Price is $ 850.00 plus shipping and insurance. Item - SW-9-2242


M-1906 Cavalry Sword - More scarce than the civil war swords, fresh from the attic and never messed with. The 35" blade shows age, nick free, light rust, small amount looks to have been sharpen some. Stamped US JHC and dated AS Co 1906. All iron guard with original leather & wire, blade leather washer intact all show age & use. Scabbard with a couple small dents and is rusty from storage, drag stamped with numbers, hard to decipher. French Infantry Short Sword - Sword remains in very good condition with only a few very tiny small flea bites to the 19" double edge blade, 25" long overall, light rust & some minor pitting near handle, maker & inspection stampings are weak. Model 1860 Cavalry Sword - Excellent sword overall, right from the attic. The 35" sword blade is nick free, maker marked & dated, Mansfield & Lamb Forestdale RI,, US CEW 1864. French Artillery Short Sword - The 18 1/2" blade shows age & use, has been cleaned over the years. Maker of Klingenthal hard to decipher, the markings are there, several hallmarks stamped in guard. Nathan Starr Short Sword - Nathan Starr Cavalry Sword cut down to a short sword. Overall 19" long with a 14" blade, blade is sharp with no nicking. Original leather grip, wire & guard from the sword. This was to have come off a relic board, one side very dark from being exposed to light & air. Blade and guard are loose together, small chunk of wood missing from handle, ferrule is loose. This is the first one I have ever seen made from a Nathan Starr Sword. Rings all the bells of being confederate, will never know for sure. - Price is $ 375.00 plus shipping and insurance. Model 1860 Cavalry Sword - Maker Marked Emerson & Silver Trenton, NJ. dated with US/DFM/1864, pommel cap inspected as well, all markings a tad weak and could use a little cleaning there. Leather grip & wire show honest age & wear, missing a small section of wire near pommel. Scabbard shows age as well with four dents & a tad bent from being rode on horse back. Model 1840 Cavalry Sword - This Model is unmarked, most likly a German Import, it has a 36" blade, minor blade nicks, about 10 small nicks to the cutting edge, no leather washer. The leather grip is complete with double twisted wire, just honest wear, still very nice looking. The original scabbard has a dent near the toe, each side. Model 1860 Cavalry Sword - The 35" blade is dated US JM 1864 & maker marked Emerson & Silver Trenton NJ, pommel inspected with JM. Original leather & wire grip show honest age & use, overall good condition. Scabbard with one very small dent showing honest age, some loss to nickle finish, inspected with #2 & LW. Model 1860 Cavalry Sword - Maker marked Emerson & Silver Trenton, N.J. dated DFM 1864, the 35" blade remains excellent with 2 very fine nicks that can be felt with your finger, leather washer missing. Leather grip & wire show age with honest wear & use, both remain in very good condition, brass guard with a nice patina, outer branch with battle bend, pommel cap stamped with DFM. Model 1840 NCO Non-Commissioned Officers Sword - Sword blade is 32" & nick free, shows age with light spotting, maker marked with, Made by Ames MFG Co Chicopee Mass, dated, US AHK 1864. Brass guard inspected with GWC. Scabbard remains in very good condition showing honest use & wear, 3 door bends with no harm of breaking, typical of these, leather stiching remains excellent. Model 1860 Cavalry Sword - The 35" blade maker marked with Made by Ames Chicopee Mass and dated US/JCW/1865. Original leather grip & wire good overall, both show age with use & wear. Blade shows battle scars with about 8 nicks, I show the worst in a photo, leather washer intact. Scabbard remains dark, no denting. Model 1860 Cavalry Sword - The sword blade is 35 1/2" long, maker marked Emerson & Silver, Trenton, N.J. and dated with US/DFM/1864. Sword blade shows light rust & age, would clean to near excellent, was lightly sharpen at some time, no harm done. Leather grip is about 85% complete with brass wire, pommel cap is inspected with DF, brass guard is bent some from the battle, adds lots of character, still has the original leather washer. Scabbard shows minor light rust & age, one small dent does no harm. Just the way I like them, nice early dated sword and shows battle use. - Price is $ 900.00 plus shipping and insurance. European Import Relic - Tired & Worn & Relic Condition, maker marked A.E. Holler, Solingen, very weak markings. Cast Iron Hilt, entire grip is long gone, sword blade is 36" showing age with rust & pitting, scabbrad is rusty with a small hole near toe, both look to have been painted black many years ago, both show areas of light cleaning, this could be improved. Not much information found on the maker, BEZDEK Book on American Swords, claims imported for the Civil War, this could be a sleeper & possible confederate used. Model 1860 Cavalry Sword - Maker marked & dated, Emerson & Silver Trenton, N.J. & US C.E.W. 1865, 35" blade shows age & use with a couple fine nicks, good leather grip & wire, only showing honest age & use, missing approximate 1 inch wire, hard to notice & appears fixed & tucked in leather grip, leather washer intact. Brass guard with a nice dark patina, pommel is inspected with J.M. Model 1860 Cavalry Sword - Maker marked Mansfield & Lamb Forestdale RI & dated US JM 1864. The 35" blade remains excellent with one small nick, leather washer intact, blade looks to have been coated with shellac ?, easy remove if desired. Original wire & leather grip shows honest age with light wear & use. Scabbard good condition overall with a couple small dents and a blade nick, drag inspected with DFM. Model 1860 Cavalry Sword - Maker Marked, C. Roby W. Chelmsford, Mass. and dated with US/1865/A.G.M. the 35" blade has 2 very fine nicks that can be felt with your finger. The leather grip is about 50%, worn thin, with most of the wire being replaced with vintage copper, has original leather washer intact. The scabbard has been buffed clean, rust free and shows minor pitting and dark spotting, inspected with a weak "AGM" mark. - Price is $ 850.00 plus shipping and insurance. Item - SW-27-208

Circa 1812 Starr Cavalry Saber - The 32" blade is rusty, wood handle missing, this is a old barn find, location of recovery has been lost to time.
