US Model 1864 58 cal Cartridge Box - Cartridge box complete with all buckles & straps, both original tin inserts inside, no maker or inspection marks. Leather some what dry, could use a little leather treatment and would clean up very nice. Post Civil War Cartridge Box Tins - Scarce & getting impossible to find anymore, cartridge box tins for the 58 caliber rimfire musket remain excellent overall. Wood block carries 8 rounds each & drop in, tin size is 3 3/4" wide by 4 1/2" tall by 1 1/2" deep. SCARCE - Civil War Period Childs Leather Boots OR ADULT SAMPLER - The boots are 9" high in the front, 6" long from toe to heel, wood shoe pegs can still be seen center bottom. These could have been possible a sutler sampler of adult boots. The boots have some post war repairs, one leather boot pull is separated, leather is very good overall with honest wear. U.S. Belt & Buckle - Excellent example of a Union Soldiers belt rig with a 37" black briddle leather belt with brass keeper. The US buckle has arrow hooks under the "U" for Infantry. US Model 1864 Cartridge Box - US Model 1864 Cartridge Box - Cartridge Box made for the 69 caliber Elongated Ball, seldom see these for sale. Box is complete with both original tins, & buckles, closure strap is missing a small section at the end, one buckle leather strap worn through, bottom right as you look at the photo, box has been cleaned with leather treatment. US Cartridge Box - The cartridge box leather is in good condition, missing the inner closing end flaps or dog ears. The finial strap button hole was torn and repaired with touch of glue at one time. Box has both roller buckles and tins, cartridge box is a pattern 1861 69 caliber, the US box buckle is a reproduction and could easy be replaced with a original if so desired, LOOKS GOOD AS IS. - Price is $ 450.00 plus shipping and insurance. US Model 1864 Cartridge Box - Cartridge box for the 58 caliber Springfield Musket. Complete with all buckles & straps, both original tin inserts inside, maker marked W.H Wilkenson Maker Springfield Mass, inspection mark on the outer flap looks to be G.T. Woodbury. Militia Belt & Buckle - Circa 1840's to the 1860's, belt & buckle used mostly by Musician's of the period. Cast brass 2-piece ornate buckle with remains of leather belt, belt is 25" long by 1 3/4" wide, has old repair with some leather missing & small tears. Militia Belt & Buckle - JUST Outstanding, the condition is excellent to near MINT, circa 1830's to 1840's, leather belt is about 32 inches long by 1 3/4" wide showing only honest age, Reading painted on the reverse, possible for a Fire Company Band I surmise. Carbine Socket - Model 1859 - These were used to secure the carbine muzzel, if the soldier was thrown from the horse while the carbine was in place, he took a chance of being dragged to death. American Militia Cartridge Box - Circa 1820 to 1840, cartridge box with a 24 tube tin insert. Leather shows age & use, remains very good overall, reverse for use of a shoulder strap intact, missing part of the closure strap and front flower button is lost to time. Unique design sets this apart from most seen, 10 1/2" long by 2" deep, slight body curve to box. I rate this one near excellent for the period. - Price is $ 495.00 plus shipping and insurance. Early Contract - Model 1864 58. Caliber Cartridge Box w/strap - Scarce example here of the March contract for the M-1864 Cartridge Box, this is before they made them with the embossed US, I think only 5500 were manufactured and they were short lived. This example shows age with light wear & use, all original, complete with both plates and both original tins inside. Leather very good condition with no issues, has been treated at some point with leather treatment, feels like pecard. U.S. Pattern 1851 Belt Rig - Black bridle leather belt is about 42", complete with leather keeper, maker marked stamped near tounge, allthough weak, looks to be stamped Watervliet Arsenal, flat catch for CW period belts.
