George Lower Catalogs - Seven, 7 early catalogs from George Lower, The Gettysburg Sutler. They date 1975, 1977, 1978, 2-1979 and 2-1980. George was a barber, he had a shop right off the square, he didnt just cut hair, he sold Gettysburg. My dad would always bribe me to get a hair cut with buying me a relic, was about 10 at the time. The Training of an Army - Camp Curtin and the North's Civil War, by William J. Miller. Camp Curtain was the largest Union training camp in the north. Many soldiers mustered from Harrisburg, Pa Camp. First edition book, dated 1990, 334 total pages, book remains very good overall showing light wear & use. Life & Times of Andrew Gregg Curtin, dated 1896, 521 pages, 6" by 8 1/2" by 1 1/4" thick. Andrew G Curtin, dated 1895, 35 pages, 6 1/4" by 9 1/2" by 3/8" thick. Honors To Andrew Gregg Curtin, dated 1869, 122 pages, 7 1/2" by 10" by 1" thick. This book has to do with his reception at Independence Hall, on the 20th day of May 1869. Curtin born April 22, 1817 Bellefonte, Pa, 2 term civil war governor of Pa. from 1861 to 1866, Lincolns right hand man. Died at home in Bellefonte, Pa. October 7, 1894 at the age 77. CDV Colonel Mulligan - James A. Mulligan (1829–1864) was colonel of the 23rd Illinois Volunteer Infantry Regiment in the Union Army during the American Civil War. On February 20, 1865, the United States Senate confirmed the posthumous award to Colonel Mulligan of the rank of brevet brigadier general of U.S. Volunteers to rank from July 23, 1864, the day before he was mortally wounded at the Second Battle of Kernstown, near Winchester, Virginia. - Price is $ 75.00 plus shipping and insurance. Union Soldier Tintype - This is a sixth plate tin type in a thermoplastic case, size is 2 3/4" x 3 1/4". The soldier is wearing a 9 button frock coat. The picture is very clear. The case is excellent, with pears in the center. Union Case is made by the "Littlefield, Parson & Co", case has the patent date of "October 14, 1856 and April 21, 1857". - Price is $ 250.00 plus shipping and insurance. Item - I-15


SCARCE Signature - Document with scarce signature of the 1st elected mayor of West Virginia, Fontaine Beckham. When John Brown took over the town Harpers Ferry, Beckham was shot, killed by one of Browns men the night of the raid. His body fell from the railroad bridge into the Potomac River. The document is 6" by 7", signature in period ink, dated may 1850. Son of Union Soldier Tin Type - Excellent Content & hard to find Son's of the Union Soldier, it is difficult to find these. Image is a 1/4 plate, shows a minor crease mark which runs bottom right mid way, the size is 3 1/4" by 4 1/4", case overall good conditions, top 2 corners cracked with little harm, has a replaced or repaired binder, GREAT Content. - Price is $ 200.00 plus shipping and insurance. New York State Regiment - RARE - Card stock 8" by 10" of the New York State, 1st German Rifle Regiment Volunteers and so marked on bottom front. Marked in ink on reverse it reads, Grandpa Gerhardt of the 1st German Rifles. Image has 2 fold marks, 1 is at bottom from side to side the other midway about 50%, image card is not broken, just cracked. United States Infantry Tactics Manual - Dated 1862, book made J.B. Lippincott & Co Philadelphia. Front insert page with name, NG Brown Bradford Mass, you do the research. Manual shows age & use, foxing, looks to have possible been exposed to the elements, a wet frock coat. SCARCE Gettysburg Souvenir Book - Scarce size, Gettysburg in a Bomb Shell, book shaped as a cannon ball. You seldom see these, most are large in size 10", this one is 5" in diameter. First page with copyright dated 1904, The Chas. H. Elliot Co for William H. Tipton. This little jem has 12 pages, each with images of the battlefield with description. National Guard Tin Type - Image is a odd ball size, like a CDV, 3 1/2" by 2 1/4" housed in a leatherette case that is a little bigger. On the reverse is a paper tag which reads, Geo W.
