Circa 1840 Wagon Canteen - Nice early large oak wood master or wagon canteen with hand forged steel bands. The size is 4 1/2" wide by 10 1/2" in diameter. I date this to the 1840's, 1850's from construction & patina, a beautiful looking canteen. - Price is $ SOLD plus shipping and insurance. Item - C-4-2870


SCARCE - Signal Corp Canteen - Large copper signal corp canteen used to carry fuel, turpentine. The size is 10" in diameter by 3" thick with a 3" spout, brass cap & chain. All 4 strap hangers intact with partial original 1 1/2" wide leather strap. Canteen show use & wear, it was there and seen all the action. Old pencil script written on one side, I think reads as, "Carried in the black war by Samuel Graham Harrodsburg, Kentucky". GAR Canteen or Flask - Dated 1892, stamped Patented April 16 1889 at bottom. Reverse, Souvenir Twentysixth Grand Annual Encampment Washington DC Sept 20th to 23rd 1892. Canteen with a nice dark patina, stopper and both strap hangers, 4 1/2" in diameter. Shows age & wear with some minor dents, good condition overall. US Model Bullseye Canteen - The canteen has all strap hangers, small push to the one side, minor dents, maker mark is hard to make out, period string needs to be removed, your option. Civil War Era Medical Canteen - Oval Medical canteen is made of tin with solder seams. The body size is 9 1\2 long x 6 3\4 wide by 1 1\4 inches thick. Canteen has two period repairs which does little harm, the one side is dented. These canteens worn on the side were made curved to fit against the body. The original spout cap missing and replaced with a period cork. This type of canteen was used for both hot and cold water. - Price is $ 150.00 plus shipping and insurance. Item - C-9


Civil War Period Miners Canteen - Copper miners canteen stands 9" tall with 6" wide base, shows age & use, very old soder repairs. Used mostly in the coal mines, held water & sometimes fuel. These use to be common, getting scarce. - Price is $ 75.00 plus shipping and insurance. Item - C-10


US Smoothside Canteen - Full size civil war smoothside canteen with applied brass GAR Disk. Civil War or Indian War Period Medical Canteen - Very Large Copper Medical Canteen. The size is 10" wide by 9 1/4" high by 1 1/2" thick. Canteen shows age & use, both strap hangers & tin spout cap intact, good condition overall. US Model Bullseye Canteen - The canteen is a Indian War conversion, with the bottem strap hanger removed and the top 2 added. The canteen does have a maker mark, worn thin & hard to read. Canteen does have a hole at the very bottom and denting, looks to have been hit by a wagon wheel ?? includes the original stopper.
